Against the Wind - 2012

​

....my father used to say "a kite won't fly if its not against the wind", paper airplanes are symbolic of:

 

*Dreams.

Every child is curious and is fascinated with the concept of flight. Paper planes demands not only craftsmanship and execution but also the understanding of aerodynamics. The cognitive simplicity of play expounds the complexity of dreams.

*Immigration.

Cultural diversity in communities was only possible because of transportation. From the invention of the wheel to epic voyages, to colonizing Mars.  Traveling enhanced our understanding and experience of the world. Man has travelled far and endured all wraths of nature in search for a better future.

*Science & Technology.

Any sufficient advancement in technology is indistinguishable from magic. Our generation might be born too early to explore the universe but our determination will influence future generation that no other force in society can rival.
