Dusk -2023

Dusk or dawn is the period of time between sunset, nightfall and sunrise. A scattered wave of the sun’s electromagnetic energy known as light photons, are absorbed and refracted in a specific angulation through the thickening of the earth’s atmosphere. In Quantum physics, this is a tiered orchestra of multiple particulates. Hydrogen, oxygen, helium, carbon dioxide, smog and even pollution, create a violent, crisp, mind bending, chaotic color crescendo…. all in just 5 minutes before the calm of darkness.

My works represent the ironic response that this daily performance of crumpling energy arouses in all of us. The tension between order and disorder and the organized increase of entropy, creates such a smooth, mesmerizing transition of colors that it converts chaos into pure serenity.
